New from SMART Technologies for 2011 is the SMART Board 885ix providing enhanced collaborative learning supporting multiuser writing and common multitouch gestures. As part of the SMART 800 series, the 885ix represents a new class of interactive whiteboard with powerful features that include the SMART UX60 ultra-short-throw projector, an extended control panel and a modular pen tray.

The concept is to provide an intuitive design with stunning picture quality and an integrated control for managing you’re your classroom technology.  The SMART 885ix enables two users to work simultaneously anywhere on the board with either one of the pens or just a finger.

NEW SMART 885ix Interactive Whiteboards

Pupils can even use simple, intuitive, touch gestures* to toss, rotate or zoom in on images in SMART Notebook software or gain access to other applications in Windows 7.  So interaction with the SMART 885ix is quick and easy without having to access on-screen menus.

The SMART 885ix comes with the UX60 projector and uses BrilliantColor technology from Texas Instruments to give high levels of brightness and contrast.

Video, data and lesson applications will look sharp and bright from every angle in a classroom.  The SMART UX60 lasts for 3,000 hours in standard mode and 4,000 hours in economy mode.  You get a three year warranty on the SMART UX60 projector and the SMART 885ix interactive whiteboard has a five year warranty upon registration.
