As a best value provider our key focus is to make sure customers get the most from their limited budget, this extends to everything we do, from the hardware and software solutions we supply to the services we maintain.

As a company we don’t promote a traditional “salesy” ethos (actually none of our Account Management Team come from a sales background) and as such we look to adopt a culture of word of mouth recommendation and trading on a job well done.

We would always suggest that customers do their due diligence on any company they deal with to make sure they have a good track record and are as they seem. It’s very easy in today’s online and social media age to put up a façade of a big far reaching organisation when in fact the opposite is true.

One worrying trend we have observed in the last 18 months is the rise in “paid for publications”, publications which give the impression of being backed by big business or government. For the majority of paid for publications companies in fact purchase editorial space, to publish content which they have written themselves (often about themselves).

These paid for publications blur the lines between advertising and self promotion, especially when they appear to be backed by government and big business. The terms and conditions of these publications do highlight in their small print that a company’s inclusion does not constitute an endorsement and in some cases actually say they’re not backed or associated with UK Government or Parliament, despite their name.

SchoolCare work hard to make sure that they are accredited only by leading and relevant industry bodies, which are important to our customers. These include organisations such as the British Standards Institute (BSI), and NQA (ISO9001).

Promotion and advertising is important in any business, but there is nothing more valuable than honest personal recommendation and customer lead case studies, a quick Google often reveals a lot about an accreditation or association and will often allow a school to make an informed decision about who they work with.
